Essential Bankroll Principles
1. Set a Dedicated Gambling Budget
Before you start playing, determine how much you can afford to lose without affecting your daily expenses, savings, or financial obligations. This amount becomes your gambling bankroll—money you treat as entertainment spending, not investment. Never use money needed for rent, utilities, food, or other essential expenses.
2. Divide Your Bankroll into Session Amounts
Split your total bankroll into smaller portions for individual gaming sessions. For example, if your monthly bankroll is Rp 2.000.000, you might divide it into 10 sessions of Rp 200.000 each. This prevents you from losing your entire bankroll in one sitting and extends your playing time across multiple occasions.
3. Follow the 1-5% Per-Bet Rule
Your individual bet size should represent only 1-5% of your session bankroll. If you have Rp 200.000 for a session, bet between Rp 2.000-Rp 10.000 per round. Smaller bets (1-2%) provide more longevity and lower variance; larger bets (3-5%) offer bigger wins but faster bankroll depletion. Match bet size to your risk tolerance and game volatility.
4. Know When to Walk Away After Wins
Set a win target—for instance, stopping when you've doubled your session bankroll or achieved a specific profit amount. Many players set a "lock-up" rule where they pocket 50% of any significant win and only play with the remainder. This ensures you leave with profits rather than giving everything back.
5. Implement Loss Limits and Stop After Losses
Establish a loss limit for each session (commonly 50-100% of your session bankroll). When you hit this limit, stop playing regardless of the urge to chase losses. Chasing losses by increasing bet sizes or depositing more than planned is the fastest path to problem gambling. Accept that losses are part of the game and return another day.
6. Track Your Play History
Keep records of your deposits, withdrawals, wins, and losses. kpktoo provides transaction history in your account dashboard. Regular tracking helps you recognize patterns, stay accountable to your budget, and identify if your gambling is becoming problematic. If you find yourself consistently exceeding limits or hiding your play from family, seek help immediately.
